East Boldre Village Hall  and School Fields Trust Hall

East Boldre Village Hall.School Fields Trust Hall.Map.

The picturesque, New Forest village of East Boldre has two halls which hold regular events, club meetings and activities.  The halls are available for private functions and meetings, and we hope to attract new clubs and group activities.

This 100 year old building is situated in open heathland in the heart of East Boldre.  It is the larger of the two halls and features a stage, changing rooms, kitchen and consulting room.  It is suitable for exhibitions, private functions, plays, film shows, meetings, regular clubs and group activities.  It has been used as a base for hiking and orienteering clubs and has been used as overnight accommodation for a local conservation group.  A luncheon club for senior citizens is held every Wednesday.  A doctor’s surgery is held each Thursday afternoon from 4:00 p.m.

Latest News

East Boldre Village Hall will be 100 years old in 2015. Before it was used as the village hall it was the Officer’s Mess for Beaulieu airfield during WW2 and before that it was the Officer’s Mess for the Royal Flying Corps flying school which was based at East Boldre during WW1.

In fact, the East Boldre flying school was founded in 1910 and we are hoping to have a centenary celebration for the village over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend in 2010.
